Piles of coloured vegetable-tanned leather filled The Forge on a crisp, bright day. The kind of day where Spring might just be peeking its head up after hibernation; the perfect time of year to learn and connect.

Leatherworker Esther Keen bought her wisdom, inspiration and strong needles for a creative workshop as part of our Modern Craft series. The group spent the day cutting, preparing, hand sewing and embossing their chosen leather each creating a unique pair of sneakers perfect for them. A big thank you to everyone who came along to the Leather Sneaker workshop on Saturday and to Esther for bringing such a special workshop to The Forge. We can’t wait to have you back.
