Celebrant ceremonies at the Forge

Bring a bespoke, personal touch to your urban or micro Bristol wedding with a celebrant service. A celebrant weaves a story throughout your day; your story.

Debbie, The Urban Celebrant, has recently joined us at The Forge and we can’t wait for her to bring her personality and warmth to our celebrations.

I love to smile and to make others smile too. When I work with couples and families, I want to get to know them, find out their interests and listen to their stories so I can shape a celebration and ceremony that just well, fits.
— Debbie, The Urban Celebrant

What does a celebrant do?

From weddings to civil partnerships, naming ceremonies to vow renewals and funerals, a celebrant creates, performs, and officiates at a formal family ceremony. Unlike any other formal ceremony, this celebration can be totally personalised to you.

Why choose a celebrant?

A celebrant makes your stories the centerpiece of the day. A unique service designed around you as a couple. With regular meetings prior to the big day, a celebrant curates a service perfect to your specifications. In-jokes, travel tales and highlighting the people that mean so much to you. And of course your love for each other. Whatever you would like to include is possible.

Are these wedding and civil partnership celebrant ceremonies legally binding?

No, you need to ensure you have carried out the paperwork and process to make it legally binding. There is no rule to say that the certificate can only be signed after the ceremony. It can be signed beforehand so you are technically married before the ceremony begins.

Is Debbie qualified?

Yes, she trained and certified with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants (FPC) and can conduct weddings, civil partnerships, vow renewals and naming ceremonies.
